Ingredients:
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat your oven:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Cream the butter and sugars:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until
creamy and well combined.
Add eggs and vanilla:
Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next. Mix in the
vanilla extract.
Mix dry ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Combine wet and dry ingredients:
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix.
Fold in chocolate chips:
Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Form the cookies:
Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches
apart.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are
still slightly soft.
Cool:
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
